Cross-Country Skiing at Lake Weissensee

Lake Weissensee in Carinthia – a paradise for cross-country skiing – awarded the Carinthian Quality Seal for cross-country ski runs.

Langlaufen am Weissensse A net of 50 km double track runs and up to 15 km of skating lanes cross the sunny and fog-free lake Weissensee valley making this region one of the most beautiful places to cross-country ski in Carinthia. Right next to the lake at 930 m above sea level training runs for beginners and the particularly popular Seewiesenloipe start.
Who prefers cross-country skiing in higher situated regions can try the 10 km long Franz-Josephs-Loipe or make a jaunt to mount Tschabitscher at 1.074 m above sea level. Before the rest at Naggler Alm you may test your physical condition along the Panorama- Loipe. You may comfortably reach them by Weissensee Cable Car. Dog owners may choose the dog ski run "Husky" where they can of course bring their dog.
Ski and Cross-Country Ski School Weissensee offers courses for beginners and advanced to learn the first steps or improve abilities. Equipment consultation and rental is offered by Alpensport Weissensee in Techendorf.
